VOCAL POWER: SPEAK AND BE HEARD

YOU HAVE A BRILLIANTLY DEVELOPED SPEECH, GREAT VISUALS, YOU'RE DRESSED FOR SUCCESS, BUT CAN YOU BE HEARD? DOES THE AUDIENCE UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU ARE SAYING?

The voice is the speaker's greatest tool. The words you choose communicate your ideas, but your voice expresses your interest and commitment to what you are saying. The way you use your voice answers, in part, the listener's question, "Why should I care?"

Vocal Power: Speak and Be Heard is voice and diction training designed to help business professionals take their presentation skills to the next level—giving them more confidence and a greater sense of ease, broadening their audience and stepping up their public image.

POINTS OF FOCUS
Learn to speak with authority. Gain the technical skills behind the use of your voice, such as: utilizing breath control to aid in projection, increasing vocal stamina, expanding your pitch range and reducing any nasality or resonance imbalance. Uncover and address any cultural or psychological barriers between yourself and your audience that may prevent effective communication.

Learn to speak with clarity and purpose, and engage the listener from the start. Maintain the listener's attention through precise articulation, as well as varied use of volume, inflection, pace and pause. Increased awareness of your speaking "habits"—such as the use on nonwords (ums and ahs), speed talking and dropping the ends of words or sentences—will help to eliminate their intrusion into your presentations. You will also learn methods to modify accents that prevent the listener from understanding and receiving your message.

Private and small group seminars are designed to meet the client's specific needs.
